1. Information we collect

a) Information you provide

  • Account information: when you register with email, we collect your email address, the nickname you choose, and your password. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are never stored in plain text.
  • Google account information: if you choose “Sign in with Google”, we receive your name and email address from your Google account (see Google Sign-In).
  • Profile information: your nickname and the avatar you pick from the app’s built-in avatar set. We do not ask you to upload photos.
  • Messages and social activity: chat messages you send to other players, friend requests, and your friends list.

b) Information created when you play

  • Gameplay data: game rooms you create or join, moves and words played, scores, games played and won, level and experience, missions, and awards.
  • In-app notifications: records of friend requests, game invitations, and messages addressed to you.

c) Information collected automatically

  • Device and advertising information: the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) collects your device’s advertising ID, IP address, device model, operating system version, app version, and information about ad views and clicks. Google may infer an approximate (coarse) location from your IP address. See Advertising.
  • Technical and security data: Firebase may process your IP address, device identifiers, and app instance identifiers to authenticate you, keep the Service secure, and prevent abuse.

d) Information stored only on your device

The app keeps your sign-in session (player ID, email address or name, nickname, and avatar choice) and simple app preferences, such as whether you have seen an announcement, in local storage on your device so you stay signed in. This data is removed when you delete your account or uninstall the app.

e) Information we do not collect

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos or files, camera or microphone data, or payment information. The app has no in-app purchases.

2. App permissions

  • Internet / network state: to connect to game servers, load ads, and detect when you are offline.
  • Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID): used by AdMob to serve and measure ads.
  • Notifications (Android 13 and later): to alert you about new messages, friend requests, and game invitations. You can decline or turn this off at any time in your device settings.

3. How we use information

  • To create and manage your account and sign you in.
  • To run single-player and real-time multiplayer games, including matching players in game rooms.
  • To provide social features such as friends, chat, and notifications.
  • To track your progress, levels, missions, and awards.
  • To check whether words you play are valid.
  • To show ads that keep the game free.
  • To maintain security, prevent cheating and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Use.
  • To fix problems, improve the game, and respond to your support requests.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

For users in the European Economic Area, the UK, and similar jurisdictions, we process personal data to perform our contract with you (providing the game), for our legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse, improving the Service), with your consent where required (for example, for personalized advertising), and to comply with the law.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below.

With other players

Other players can see your nickname, avatar, level, and game statistics, plus your moves in games you play together. Chat messages are visible to the players you send them to.

With service providers

ProviderPurposeData involved
Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore) Sign-in, storing account and game data, real-time multiplayer Email, nickname, credentials, gameplay data, messages, device and app identifiers, IP address
Google Sign-In Optional sign-in with your Google account Name, email address
Google AdMob Serving and measuring ads Advertising ID, IP address, device information, ad interactions
Free Dictionary API (dictionaryapi.dev) Checking whether a word is valid The word being checked. No account information is sent, but, as with any internet request, the provider receives your IP address.

Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy, for example Google’s Privacy Policy and Privacy and Security in Firebase.

For legal reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, or if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us.

Business transfers

If the Service is transferred to a new owner, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. It will remain subject to this policy or one that is equally protective.

5. Advertising

Quick2Game is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device’s advertising ID and other device information to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, and, where permitted, personalize the ads you see. Learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your Android device settings, usually under Settings › Google › Ads or Settings › Privacy › Ads. You will still see ads, but they may be less relevant.

6. Google Sign-In

If you sign in with Google, we request only basic profile information: your name and email address. We do not receive your Google password and do not access your contacts, Drive, Gmail, or any other Google data. We use this information only to create and identify your Quick2Game account.

Quick2Game’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

7. Data retention

  • Account, profile, progress, friends, and messages: kept for as long as your account is active, and deleted when you delete your account (see below).
  • Game rooms: kept while a game is in progress and as part of game history. Game rooms you alone created are deleted with your account.
  • Data held by service providers (such as AdMob and Firebase logs) is retained according to those providers’ own retention policies.
  • We may keep limited information longer when required by law or to resolve disputes and enforce our terms.

8. Account & data deletion

You can delete your Quick2Game account and the data associated with it at any time, with or without the app installed.

Option 1: In the app

  1. Open Quick2Game and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm with your password or Google account. Your account is deleted immediately.

Option 2: By email (no app needed)

Send an email to alexpolo01@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account, with the subject “Delete my Quick2Game account”. Include your nickname. We may ask you to confirm the request, and we will complete the deletion within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your login account (email/password or Google sign-in link)
  • Your profile: email, nickname, and avatar
  • Your statistics, level, missions, and awards
  • Your chat conversations and messages
  • Your friends list, friend requests, and in-app notifications
  • Game rooms in which you were the only player

What may be kept

  • Your nickname may still appear in another player’s record of a multiplayer game you played together. Email us if you want it removed.
  • Data held by Google AdMob is governed by Google’s retention policies. You can reset your advertising ID in your device settings.
  • Information we must keep to meet legal obligations, for no longer than required.

You can also ask us to delete some of your data, such as your messages, without deleting your whole account, by emailing us at the address above.

9. Security

Data travels between the app and our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, which encrypts data at rest. Access to stored data is restricted by authentication and database security rules. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information.

10. Children’s privacy

Quick2Game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate information. You can change your nickname and avatar in the app, and email-account users can also change their password there.
  • Delete your account and personal information (see Account & data deletion).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise these rights, contact us. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

12. International data transfers

Our service providers, including Google, may process and store information on servers in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. If the changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, for example through a notice in the app. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
